Jakarta, UI, UGM, ITB, and UNAIR are again competing in the international university ranking system. This list was issued by Moscow International University Ranking 'The Three University Missions' (Mosiur) 2021.
Quoted from its website, Indonesia was represented by the seven best universities in the country. Besides UI, UGM, ITB, and Airlangga University, there are still Unpad, IPB, and ITS that compete with other best campuses in the world.
List of the best universities in Indonesia according to MOSIUR 2021
Gadjah Mada University (UGM) ranked 601-650
Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) ranked 701-800
University of Indonesia (UI) ranked 701-800
Universitas Airlangga (Unair) ranked 1301-1400
Padjadjaran University (Unpad) ranked 1401-1500
Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) ranked 1501-1650
Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) ranked 1501-1650.
MOSIUR 2021 explains that all campuses in the ranking group with a hyphen (-) are sorted alphabetically.
Responding to this news, Dian Ekowati, Head of the Unair Planning and Development Agency (BPP), stated that her university never stops developing. Efforts to improve performance are consistently implemented in every aspect.
For Unair, this is the second time the university has been named one of the best in MOSIUR 2021.
"Going forward, we will strive to focus on our existing strengths while continuing to improve other aspects and synergizing with other universities," Dian said, as quoted from the Unair website.
MOSIUR 2021 explains that 2,000 higher education institutions representing 119 countries and territories participated in the rankings. Universities included in the list were generally selected in previous years.
The number of institutions representing a country is determined by the country's contribution to the global economy. The stronger a country's economy is globally, the more institutions it can represent at MOSIUR 2021.
