(Feb News) Thursday, August 8, 2024-Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Airlangga University) with full of pride in holding the 63rd Dies Natalis Tasyakuran in the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, 2nd Floor, FEB Unair. This event was not only a moment of reflection on the long journey of the faculty, but also as an important milestone in the development of entrepreneurship in the academic environment, marked by the symbolic handover of the "Entrepreneurship Center" from Bank Indonesia.
Present to give a speech from the Chancellor Universitas Airlangga - Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE, MT, AK., Deputy Rector II of Airlangga University - Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE, M.Si., M.Fin. In his remarks Prof. Madyan, believes that with the spirit of togetherness and hard work of FEB Unair will be able to achieve its vision and mission, "Let's make this Anniversary as a momentum to strengthen synergy and collaboration with the entire academic community."
On the same occasion, the Chancellor Universitas Airlangga , in his remarks, said that FEB Unair had a strategic role in overcoming two main challenges in the world of education, namely accessibility and relevance. He hopes that with the contribution of FEB Airlangga University, the educational participation rate can increase, bearing in mind that FEB UNAIR students contribute 25% of the total Unair students. Furthermore, the relevance of the education offered by Feb Unair is expected to be able to reduce the unemployment rate of young people through increasing employees.
According to Prof. Nasih, in the future the university will be encouraged to become a knowledge based entrepreneur University and it is expected that FEB Airlangga University will be able to become the backbone to deliver Airlangga Unair to the predicate of Knowledge-based Entrepreneur University, as well as bringing Airlangga Unair to more powerful progress and glory.
Dean of UNAIR FEB - Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak., CMA., CA emphasized that the commitment of FEB Unair to not only score intellectual intelligent graduates, but also have noble character, in accordance with the motto of Universitas Airlangga , "Excellence with Morality," which was realized in the character of Unair Great. Quoting Nelson Mandela, he stressed the importance of education as the most effective weapon to change the world, and encourage all parties to continue to innovate for the progress of the nation. The Dean also sees the moment of the Anniversary as the right time to strengthen the synergy with the spirit of togetherness and love, which is expected to bring Feb Unair to a more brilliant achievement. Noor Nugroho, to the Dean of FEB UNAIR - Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak., CMA., Ca. This entrepreneurial center will be a forum for students to hone and develop creative and innovative ideas that are expected to produce unique businesses and works with high economic value. In addition, the Entrepreneurship Center is also expected to be a means for FEB Unair to contribute to developing entrepreneurial ecosystems, both among students and the community, through various activities such as training, apprenticeship, consultation, and assistance in the fields of cooperatives and MSMEs.
Not only that, this Dies Natalis event was also enlivened with special offerings from PKRI in collaboration with the EKRAF Department through the FEB Market event. This bazaar displays a variety of innovative works and products from FEB students, ranging from fashion, handicrafts, to food and drinks. FEB Market is a platform to show students' creativity and entrepreneurial skills, as well as a means of promoting the unique products they produce.
The excitement of the Dies Natalis event is increasingly peaking with various interesting entertainment and surprises. The participants were treated to an energetic performance from Coffeemix Dance which livened up the atmosphere, followed by the eagerly awaited door prize drawing.
