After 25 Years of Longing, UNAIR's 2000 FEB MANAGEMENT ALUMNI HOLDS A SILVER REUNION

(FEB NEWS) SURABAYA – An atmosphere of emotion and joy enveloped the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, Dharmawangsa-B Campus, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Fifty alumni of the Management study program, class of 2000, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR gathered for the Silver Reunion. This activity served as the first large-scale reunion after 25 years of graduation, as well as to strengthen networks and ties.

With the theme "25 Years Together, Old Friends with the Same Laughter," the reunion was initiated by the 2000 FEB UNAIR MANAGEMENT ALUMNI. The primary motivation was a desire to reconnect after a quarter of a century apart in their respective fields.

The primary goal of this activity is to strengthen ties that may have been strained over time. Furthermore, this event serves as a strategic opportunity to strengthen alumni networks, which is expected to open up opportunities for future professional and social collaboration.

Ayu, as the Chair of the Reunion Organizers, stated that this 25th anniversary moment should not be missed. "The Class of 2000 must gather after 25 years," she said briefly, emphasizing the importance of the gathering.

Also present at the event was Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, also a member of the Class of 2000. She expressed her pride and joy at reuniting with her fellow students. "I'm very proud to meet my friends from the Management Class of 2000. It turns out the first reunion was over 25 years after my graduation," she said.

Prof. Tika also thanked the entire committee for their hard work in preparing the event. "Hopefully, this reunion won't be the last and will continue," she said. On that occasion, she also conveyed a message from the faculty leadership. "Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono (Dean of FEB UNAIR) sends his regards and appreciates the strong alumni relationship and the spirit of alumni impact. May the bonds of friendship remain unbroken," explained Prof. Tika.

This silver reunion is expected to be more than just a nostalgic moment. The long-term impact is expected to be the re-establishment of strong class solidarity. The alumni are committed to supporting each other and actively contributing to their alma mater, whether through ideas, networking, or other collaborative programs. This gathering is proof that the bonds of brotherhood forged during college remain strong even after 25 years have passed. This reunion of the 2000 Management Class reaffirms the undying spirit of the Airlangga Knights.
