The 2018 Sharia Economics Scientific Festival (FALAH) was organized by
the Association of Sharia Economics Studies (ACSES) Faculty of Economics and Business,
Universitas Airlangga which lasted for three days, namely September 20
to September 22, 2018, filled with a series of Call for Essay events,
Fieldtrip, Grand Dakwah, and Business Workshop. The 2018 Sharia Economics Scientific Festival
(FALAH) was attended by several university delegations
throughout Indonesia, including, UIN Sunan Kalijaga,
Semarang State University, Universitas Airlangga , Brawijaya University,
Hassanuddin University, University of Indonesia, Gunadarma University, Jember University,
and Jakarta State Polytechnic.
On September 20, 2018, the Call for Essay activity took place at the Faculty of
Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . The Call for Essay activity was divided
into two parts, a presentation round and a case study round which was only attended by
the five best teams. The five teams were Gunadarma University,
Semarang State University, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, University of Indonesia and
Airlangga University.
On September 21, 2018, a field trip activity with the objects of Bank Indonesia,
Surabaya Heroes Monument, and the Sunan Ampel Area of Surabaya. The field trip activity
was attended by all delegation teams from various universities in Indonesia. This
was also used to introduce the city of Surabaya and buy
typical Surabaya souvenirs. The activity continued with the Grand Dakwah
held at the Ulul Azmi Mosque, Campus C, Universitas Airlangga which
was attended by all FALAH 2018 participants
. On September 22, 2018, a Business Workshop activity took place at the Faculty of
Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . The Business Workshop activity was
general in nature and included FALAH 2018 participants participating in the activity and
discussions with the theme of doing business according to sharia. And at the end of the Business
Workshop event was the Announcement of the Winners of the
2018 Islamic Economics Scientific Festival (FALAH), and the following announcements Gunadarma University – The Best
Presentation, Semarang State University – Best Speaker, Universitas Airlangga
– 3rd Place, University of Indonesia – 2nd Place, and UIN Sunan Kalijaga – 1st Place. And
thus closed the 2018 Islamic Economics Scientific Festival (FALAH)..
Alhamdulillah, I, Fatoni and Sa'diyah, are still trusted by Allah to be able to
achieve representing Universitas Airlangga to become the 3rd winner in the
2018 Islamic Economics Scientific Festival (FALAH), and hopefully this can spur
the spirit of writing, especially our younger brothers and sisters of Islamic economics,
Airlangga University. And the last thing is always our commitment "Allah always
follows the prejudices of His Servants" meaning always think positively, inshaAllah Allah
will grant what His servants desire, InshaAllah aamiin.
