Course content |
The course content focuses on the maritime economics and maritime industry, with a combination of historical and geographical approaches. The topics such as an introduction to the history of development of international trade and shipping from the 18th century to the present; shipping market analysis; market structure and factors, market dynamics in maritime economics perspective, demand and profitability in short-term and long-term perspectives; major shipping and offshore markets. Other topics are economic theory of the division of labor and international trade - from Ricardo to new economic geography; industrial cluster theory and location competition between countries. |
