The Master of Economics Program (MECP) was established on November 20, 2008 based on the Decree on the Opening of the Study Program No. 10253/J03/OT/2008. In 2017, MECP received national recognition through accreditation from BAN-PT with a "A" ranking. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia also gave confidence to MECP as one of the study programs for the Recipient of the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP).
Furthermore, as the transformation Universitas Airlangga to World Class University (WCU), in 2020 MECP received international recognition from ABEST21 for the relevance of the program offered.
MECP continues to improve student learning experiences through the provision of innovative learning methods, international exposure, and productive academic culture in the program environment. In supporting the goals of internationalization, MECP establishes close cooperation with AGE, especially in international student support services. AGE provides support in academic and non-academic activities such as accommodation, transportation, visa management, student orientation, and other aspects of welfare for international students.
MECP also participates in various programs organized by AGE such as the global mobility of students and staff.

Organizing and developing academic education in the field of economics with national and international standards;
Carry out research and development of knowledge in the economic field recognized at the national and international levels;
Organizing community service that supports the application and development of economics.
Provide stimulation of economic education through high quality learning to motivate students to achieve their optimal potential;
Building knowledge, abilities, and skills of all participants in understanding economic theory, econometrics, as well as various quantitative analysis tools and policy application of relevant cases;
Provides choices for students to study certain fields in the economy in depth;
Building the ability of students to apply economic knowledge, analytical tools, and skills both theoretically, practically, and in policy issues.
1. The lecture period
each academic year consists of two regular semesters, namely the odd semester which takes place in August to December and even semester in February to June. For the level of Masters and Professional Education Accountant education, each semester consists of 14 face -to -face meetings, coupled with an evaluation in the form of a Midterm Examination (UTS) and Final Semester Examination (UAS).
2. Administrative registration
Before re -registration academically, each student is required to first complete a single tuition payment (UKT) for one semester, in accordance with applicable regulations.
3. Academic registration
before lectures begins, students must determine the course to be taken in accordance with the curriculum regulations and listed on the study plan card (KRS), with reference to the Study Results Card (KHS). Students can change or cancel the course through filling out the Study Plan Change Card (KPRS) on the schedule specified by the faculty. Delay in filling KRS without an acceptable reason will result in students not allowed to attend lectures in the current semester.
4. The Expense Study of
Total Semester Credit Units (SKS) that must be completed by Masters in Economics students is 42 credits.
