A Doctoral Study Program that studies and develops economics based on sharia principles, with a focus on education in the field of Islamic economics, based on the Quran and hadith, as well as previous and contemporary scholars aimed at solving current problems in society, especially in the field of Islamic social finance.

Vision

To become a doctoral study program in Islamic Economics based on coursework and research that is in line with the needs of future Islamic economic development, which is innovative, professional, independent and leading at national and international levels, as well as being a pioneer in solving economic and financial problems based on the morals of the Islamic religion, especially in Islamic social finance at local, regional, national and international levels.

Mission

  1. Carrying out education in the field of Islamic economics, based on the Koran and hadith, as well as previous and contemporary scholars aimed at solving current problems in society, especially in the field of Islamic social finance.
  2. Carrying out innovative basic, applied and policy research to support the development of science, education and community service at both national and international levels.
  3. Providing expertise in the field of Islamic economics to the national and international community.
  4. Striving for independence in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through institutional and management development that is oriented towards quality and the ability to compete internationally.
  5. Developing knowledge in the form of international publications on student written work.

Objective

  • Producing graduates who master theoretical concepts for the development of Islamic economics and are at the same time able to implement them for the development and progress of society, both nationally and internationally through impactful research. The graduate profile is a researcher who is able to evaluate conventional economics and develop sharia economics which is recognized both nationally and internationally.

Information

Academic provisions

1. The academic year lecture period
consists of two regular semesters, namely the odd semester which takes place in August to December and the even semester in February to June. Every semester includes 14 face to face plus an evaluation session.

2. Administration Registration
Student is required to complete the payment of Educational Operational Donations (SOP) for the current semester according to the provisions, before being able to register the course.

3. Academic registration
before lectures begins, students determine the course to be taken based on curriculum provisions by showing the Student Identity Card (KTM) and/or proof of SOP payment. The course is included in the Study Plan (KRS) card with a reference to the Study Results Card (KHS). If there is a delay in filling KRS for no valid reason, then students are not allowed to attend lectures in the semester.

4. Study Load
The total number of credits that must be completed by Doctoral students in Islamic Economics is 50 credits.
