The Doctoral Sciences Program (DECP) Universitas Airlangga was founded in 1983 based on the Decree on the Opening of the Study Program No. 23497/C/1983 dated March 10, 1983. Between 1983 to 2011, the management of DECP education was under the Postgraduate Program Universitas Airlangga . But since 2012, DECP management has shifted to the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair).

DECP has been recognized as having a superior reputation at both national and international levels, as evidenced by the "A" accreditation of the National Accreditation Board (BAN-PT) and accreditation from ABEST21. We consistently consider every recommendation from the quality assurance institution and apply it to all academic and non-academic activities.

In order to improve the performance of student study period, DECP provides a mentoring program to assist students in publication of articles in national and international journals. In addition, DECP also provides international exposure through various global mobility programs, both outbound and inbound.

Mission

  1. Organizing quality education and teaching in the field of economics to produce quality graduates at the level of doctoral education;

  2. Carry out research and development of economics, both basic and applied research;

  3. Providing professional expertise in the economic field as part of community service.

Objective

  1. Organizing educational programs that are able to encourage and facilitate students to have high academic, professional, innovative, and competitive capacity;

  2. Organizing and developing a professional study program and oriented to the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders;

  3. Creating an academic atmosphere that is conducive in learning and research, so that it can support the success of student studies by upholding academic values ​​and ethics;

  4. Increasing global competitiveness in teaching and research through the development of innovation and collaboration with various parties at the national and international level;

  5. Improving the quality of graduates of study programs in accordance with the needs of the job market and the characteristics of modern intellectual societies (Society 5.0);

  6. Increasing the implementation of research results for policy makers and the general public.

Information

Academic provisions

1. The academic year lecture period
consists of two regular semesters, namely the odd semester which takes place in August to December and the even semester in February to June. Every semester includes 14 face to face, coupled with an evaluation session.

2. Administration Registration
Student is required to complete the payment of Educational Operational Donations (SOP) for the current semester according to the provisions, before being able to register the course.

3. Academic registration
before lectures begins, students determine the course to be taken based on curriculum provisions by showing the Student Identity Card (KTM) and/or proof of SOP payment. The course is included in the Study Plan Card (KRS), with reference to the Study Results Card (KHS). If there is a delay in filling KRS for no valid reason, then students are not allowed to attend lectures in the semester.

4. Study Expenses
The total number of semester credit units (SKS) that must be completed by students of the doctoral program of economics is 48 credits.
