The National Economic Olympiad (OE) was successfully held by the Development Economics Student Association

On Thursday, October 7, 2021, the grand final of the 18th Economics Olympiad (OE) for high school students took place at the national level. The entire Olympiad, from the initial selection to the final, was held online.

It is known that 149 teams participated in the Economic Olympiad (OE) selection process, spread across Indonesia. In the initial round, all participants were required to complete 100 economics questions covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, introductory accounting, entrepreneurship, and cooperatives. After that, the grand finalists were selected, who also had to complete multiple-choice questions. The top four participants were then selected to participate in the grand final selection, an economics debate.

In the debate, the participants were judged by three judges, consisting of two academics and one practitioner. The judges were Mr. Wahyu Wisnu Wardana (Lecturer at the Department of Economics, FEB Unair), M. Zeqi Yasin (Lecturer at the Department of Economics, FEB Unair), and Pamus Sukma Yudana (practitioner). The debate topics for the four teams were related to the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the need to eliminate the minimum wage for companies affected by COVID-19, the urgency of credit relaxation for MSMEs, and the provision of direct cash assistance (BLT) to the poor.

Based on the jury's assessment results, the winners were determined in the following order:
