The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unair's Management Department held an interesting event for lecturers and staff within the department.
The training was necessary because, as stated by Dr. Gancar Premananto, lecturers and staff spend most of their time interacting and communicating with family, friends, colleagues, students, partners, and clients. Therefore, understanding who their communication partners are and how to persuade them is an important and interesting topic to practice.
Mr. Wiguna Kertapati, a mentor from PT CSI, explained that NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is fundamental to a positive mindset. He continued with various aspects and tips for NLP-based communication. This led to the discussion of how gestures, word choice, intonation, and other skills must be learned to build effective communication.
The two-day event, August 14-15, 2021, attracted dozens of lecturers and staff participants.
