The Department of Accounting held a webinar with the topic of "Optimizing Tax Understanding for Teachers in Supporting Increasing Awareness and Tax Compliance" on Saturday 28 August 2021. This webinar event is part of a series of Dies Anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga and at the same time support the implementation of activities for the achievements of SDGs No.4 namely Quality Education through community service by providing taxation activities to the teacher.

This webinar is aimed at teachers on the grounds that teachers are parties who can be agents of change in terms of changing the mindset or paradigm of taxation in society by providing insight and knowledge of taxation to their students correctly. The hope is that early tax education will optimize understanding of taxation for teachers and will then be conveyed to students.

 This webinar presents three speakers who are tax lecturers in the Accounting Department, namely: Dra. Mienati Somya Lasmana, Msi., Ak., BKP who brought subtopic "VAT Law and its changes", then Dr. Heru Tjaraka, SE., MSi., Ak., BKP with subtopics "PPh Aspects in Increasing Awareness and Tax Compliance" and Dr. Santi Novita, SE., MM., AK., CA., BKP. With subtopic "Welcoming Reporting SPT PPh OP Employees". After the presentation of the material from the speakers then continued with a question and answer session moderated by Dr. Alfa Rahmiati who is also a tax lecturer in the Accounting Department.
