S1 Economics

The Bachelor of Economics program offers economics-oriented education, research, and community service to support the development of economics. This program enhances students' ability to analyze social and economic issues and equips graduates with relevant analytical frameworks. Within the framework of Universitas Airlangga 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, themed SMART University , this program focuses on innovation and transformation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) to enhance the university's contribution to the development of superior human resources. The Department of Economics also supports this vision with a Strategic Plan that aligns with the university's objectives.

Vision

To become an independent, innovative and adaptive undergraduate study program in Economics that excels both nationally and internationally in the field of economics.

Mission

  1. Organizing education that is oriented towards the economic field to produce quality graduates at the Bachelor level.

  2. Conducting research and development of economic science and knowledge, both basic and applied research,

  3. Organizing community service activities is primarily aimed at supporting the implementation and development of the economy.

Objective

  1. Improving global competitiveness in teaching and research by developing innovation and establishing collaboration with various parties at the national and international levels.

  2. Improving the quality of study program graduates to meet the demands of the job market and the characteristics of modern intellectual society (society 5.0).

S2 Economics

The Master of Economics Study Program was established on November 20, 2008, based on the Decree of Study Program Establishment No. 10253/J03/0T/2008. In 2017, this program received national recognition through accreditation from BAN-PT with an “A” rating. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia also selected the Master of Economics as one of the study programs for the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) scholarship program. In addition, in line with Universitas Airlangga transformation into a World Class University (WCU), ABEST21 provided international recognition for the relevance of the Master of Economics in 2020. The program continues to strive to enhance the student learning experience by offering innovative learning methods, international exposure, and a productive academic culture. To support our internationalization goals, we have established a close collaboration with AGE, which provides support services for international students. AGE will assist with various academic and non-academic activities, including accommodation, transportation, visa processing, student orientation, and other welfare aspects. The Master of Economics also participates in AGE programs such as global mobility for students and staff.

S3 Economics

The Doctoral Program in Economics at Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) was established in 1983 based on the Decree of Study Program Establishment No. 23497/C/1983 issued on March 10, 1983. The UNAIR Postgraduate Program managed the Doctoral Program in Economics from 1983 to 2011, before the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR took over its management in 2012. This program has been recognized as having an excellent reputation at the national and international levels, proven by the “A” certification from the National Accreditation Board (BAN-PT) and accreditation from ABEST21. We always pay attention to the recommendations of these quality assurance bodies and implement them in all academic and non-academic activities. To improve student study performance, we provide counseling programs that help them publish articles in reputable international and national journals. In addition, we also offer international experiences to students through global mobility programs, including outbound and inbound programs.
