The Economic Olympiad (OE) is an annual event organized by the Public Relations Department of the Development Economics Student Association Universitas Airlangga. This year, the 16th Economic Olympiad 2019 carries the theme "Financial Technology for Economic Growth" with a total prize of 12 million Rupiah. The 16th Economic Olympiad 2019 is an event for high school students and equivalents provided by HIMA EP Universitas Airlangga to test their competencies, both knowledge gained in school and general knowledge they get from outside of school. This activity is also an event to provide an overview of the Development Economics major by providing questions related to the courses in the Development Economics major which are of course adapted to the social knowledge gained in school
At the 16th Economic Olympiad 2019, the preliminary round was held simultaneously on September 15, 2019 throughout Indonesia with an Offline and Online exam system. The Offline preliminary round was intended for the 18 Regions we visited. The Online preliminary round was intended for all cities in Indonesia that we could not visit (or were not included in the 18 offline regions). The semifinal and final rounds will be held on September 23-24 which will be held at the Faculty of Economics and Business UNAIR.
