Current Issues in Information Technology Management Research

This course integrates the domains of information technology management and accounting, emphasizing that developments in accounting cannot be separated from advances in information technology. It aims to equip doctoral students with competence in the concepts and theories of information technology management, which today are inextricably linked to the development of modern accounting—including management accounting, financial accounting, and behavioral accounting within current accounting research. The course also covers various empirical studies related to information technology management and accounting, including their literature reviews, methodologies, and interpretations. Students will conduct research, or at minimum develop a research proposal, on accounting topics related to information technology management. Upon completing this course, students are expected to be able to submit their research findings to a reputable international journal.
