Overview

This course teaches students the science of conducting research and producing scientific reports of quality equivalent to those published in reputable journals. The course covers both quantitative and qualitative research. It begins with the background on why research is important, followed by an examination of existing research related to the issue, the extent to which such research has been conducted, and what remains unexplored (the research gap), leading to the formulation of an important research problem. The methodology is then developed based on this problem formulation
