Overview
This course discusses, applies, and evaluates the concepts, principles, and practices involved in preparing and interpreting corporate reports across different contexts. This includes an ethical assessment of management’s stewardship and the information needs of diverse stakeholder groups.
Building on knowledge acquired at the fundamentals level, the course focuses on the core technical skills required to prepare and analyze financial reports for both single and combined entities. Students examine corporate reporting from multiple perspectives, including those of report preparers, providers of finance, and other stakeholders.
Students assess and evaluate management’s reporting decisions and their implications for various stakeholders and entities. The course also explores the professional and ethical responsibilities of accountants toward these stakeholders.
