Overview
This course examines corporate finance concepts used in decision-making, including investment risk and return, the time value of money, investment and capital-budgeting decisions, the cost and structure of capital, dividends, leasing, business reorganization, and the risk of business failure.
The course uses case-based learning, in which students formulate and solve problems independently or in groups using cases provided by the instructor. Learning is delivered through a blended, flipped-classroom model that combines synchronous face-to-face sessions—online, hybrid, or in person—for case discussions and deeper exploration with asynchronous independent learning through Universitas Airlangga’s e-learning platform. Assessment includes case-discussion performance, written examinations, and quizzes.
