Overview
This seminar course discusses contemporary research issues in management accounting. The articles examined are drawn from internationally reputable journals included in the Brigham Young University (BYU) accounting research rankings, such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Management Accounting Research, and Journal of Management Control. The course provides Master of Accounting students with new insights into current themes in management accounting, including compensation, cost behavior, performance, innovation, and feedback. Students are also expected to interpret research findings and assess their practical implications for the accounting profession.
