Overview

The Introduction to Accounting course covers the fundamentals of financial accounting, including the concepts of recognition, measurement, presentation, and disclosure of financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in Indonesia. The ultimate learning objective is for students to be able to determine and apply the recognition, measurement, presentation, and disclosure of financial transactions in merchandising and service companies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in Indonesia, as well as to prepare the components of financial statements based on the accounting cycle for merchandising and service companies. The course material covers the fundamentals of financial accounting, including an introduction to accounting and business, transaction analysis, the adjusting entries process, completion of the accounting cycle, accounting for merchandising companies, inventory, cash, accounts receivable, fixed and intangible assets, current liabilities and payroll, long-term liabilities, corporations, investments and fair value, and cash flow statements.
