(FEB NEWS) SURABAYA, 10 August 2026 — Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) officially opened the Airlangga Global Program on Sustainable Business and Environmental Law, a collaborative international program organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Law (FH), Universitas Airlangga.

The program brings together 93 participants from 24 universities, with approximately 60 participants joining the onsite activities in Surabaya and the remainder participating online.

The opening ceremony featured remarks from the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga – Dr. Maradona, S.H., LL.M, and the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga – Novrys Suhardianto, SE., MSA., Ak., Ph.D. Both highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary and international collaboration in addressing increasingly complex sustainability challenges.

The Vice Dean III of FH UNAIR emphasized that sustainable development requires an integrated understanding of law, business, environmental protection, and social responsibility. Meanwhile, the Vice Dean III of FEB UNAIR highlighted the importance of preparing future business leaders who can integrate sustainability and responsible practices into strategic decision-making.

Through lectures, discussions, and collaborative activities, the program explores key issues including ESG, sustainable business, environmental governance, international trade, human rights, anti-corruption, and environmental law.

The program reflects UNAIR’s commitment to strengthening internationalization, interdisciplinary education, and sustainability-oriented learning, while providing students with opportunities to exchange perspectives and build international networks.

With participants representing 24 universities, the Airlangga Global Program is expected to foster meaningful cross-cultural collaboration and equip future leaders with the knowledge and skills to contribute to a more sustainable and responsible global economy.
