Islamic Public Speaking

Allah SWT says:

"And let there be among you a group of people who call to righteousness, enjoin what is right and forbid what is evil, they are the lucky ones." (Surat Ali Imron 104).

Based on this verse, we as the people of Rasulullah SAW who obey His commands, we should be able to invite people around us to a better path, which is in accordance with Islamic law. Now, in an effort to invite those who are ma'ruf or you could say with da'wah, it is necessary to have a separate skill to be able to master any knowledge that will be conveyed to others. 

To support this da'wah and the skills of each individual, the PBA (Al-Qur'an Reading Development) division, MOSAIC FEB UNAIR, held an activity as a forum for friends who want to cultivate special skills for public speaking, namely by holding an event "Islamic Public Speaking" which took place in the Soepoyo Hall FEB Unair. The event took place on March 22, 2019 and was open to the public. Attended by internal MOSAIC members themselves, students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as students from other faculties.

The material discussed is how to speak in public and muqoddimah using Arabic and English and prayer. The activity was filled by Muhammad Iman R. as the Chair of MOSAIC for the 2019 period. We as Muslims must be able to master public speaking well because the preacher must also have a way to attract attention.

At least when presenting in front of the class we are able to attract attention with good public speaking. "What's the point of knowledge if it doesn't expand one's soul so that it acts like an ocean that holds garbage. What's the use of intelligence if it doesn't enlarge one's personality so that one can understand others better?"
