11th ECCENTS (Indonesia Economics Events)

Indonesia Economics Events (ECCENTS) is an event that aims to
to accommodate and provide an opportunity for students to think critically
especially about the economy, discuss, and propose solutions and
policy advice for the latest economic issues to encourage the nation's progress
from an economic point of view, especially in carrying out productive activities by students.
In 2018, ECCENTS raised the theme "Surfing The Waves of Public".
Goods Development to Alleviate Inequality”. ECCENTS has 5 circuits
events held at different places and times, namely Competitions,
NEC (Night Economic Case), National Seminar, Gala Dinner, and Field Trip.

The competition consists of three stages. The first stage is "Abstract"
Elimination”, the second stage is “Research Competition”, the third stage is
"Meet the Judicators". Teams that pass from stage two will be invited as
delegates and participated in a series of Indonesia Economics Events (11th
ECCENTS). The third stage of the competition was held on 26
October 2018 at Mindrowo Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business,
Airlangga University.

The Night Economic Case (NEC) is a discussion panel attended by
by practitioners and academics as speakers who opened with
presentation of the material and then followed by a discussion session. NEC has been implemented on
October 26, 2018 at Fadjar Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business,
Universitas Airlangga with the theme "Trade Wars to Local Business: Opportunities"
or Threats?”. In this activity, we invited as many as 5 speakers,
Among them are Dedy Irianto (Head of the Economic Assessment Function and
Surveillance Bank Indonesia), M. Arif Widodo (Head of Sub Division of Program and
East Java Disperindag budget), Firdaus Aditya Rizqi (Head of Sub-
Supervision of Bank KR4 East Java), Angga Erlando (University FEB Lecturer
Airlangga).

The National Seminar was held on October 27, 2018
located in Fadjar Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga
with the theme "The Magnificent Side of Transportation Waves Development".
In this activity, we invited 5 speakers, including Wahid Wahyudi (Assistant for Economics and Development of East Java Province), Agus Taufik M. (Chairman of the Presidium of the Indonesian Society), Hot Rudolf Marihot (President Director of PT. BJTI PORT), Joko Supriyanto ( Head of the Traffic Division of the Surabaya Transportation Service), Hitapriya Suprayitno (ITS Civil Engineering Lecturer). With 5 speakers, we divided it into 2 national dialogue sessions led by a moderator named Brigita Manohara.

The Gala Dinner was held on October 27, 2018 at the Fadjar Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga. In this Gala Dinner, we invited several lecturers and delegates. In this activity, we also announce the winners for the delegates who have participated in the ECCENTS competition.

The last series of ECCENTS events is the Field Trip. Field Trip
has been held on October 28, 2018 in various places
visits to the Surabaya area, including the Heroes Monument, Museum
Surabaya, Surabaya Northquay. This activity aims to build friendship
with the delegates and introduced the city of Surabaya to the delegates.

ECCENTS itself is a place for students to think critically. So
from that, it is hoped that ECCENTS can continue to inspire many students
to continue to think critically and participate in proposing solutions to
problems, especially in the economy so that they can become agents
Indonesian nation change.
