“The 2nd Airlangga National Conference of Accounting (ANCA 2018)”

Raden Roro Widya Ningtyas Soeprajitno – Accounting (041611333134)

Being the youngest individual at the prestigious event held by PSDKU Universitas Airlangga Banyuwangi in The 2nd Airlangga National Conference of Accounting 2018 was something Raden Roro Widya Ningtyas Soeprajitno (Semester 5 – Class 2016) never expected. This student from Universitas Airlangga – Surabaya bravely took part in the event of writing Paper / Accounting Scientific Works and competed with Lecturers of various Ages and Degrees throughout Indonesia.

Roro (2016), a familiar greeting for this student, passed and her paper was worthy of selection along with 40 other papers from a total of 105 participants who submitted papers to be published in the PSDKU Relational Journal of Universitas Airlangga and had a reputation indexed by DOAJ. Not only that, it is a matter of pride that a student who is a minority of participants, who is in semester 5, who has not yet received a research methodology, has also not started writing an introductory thesis to be able to pass among all the participants who come from this lecturer - and there are several students final level and completion of the thesis.

"Just dare to submit, make a paper with only less than 5 days before closing, and even then I didn't expect to pass," he said. Asked again about the reason he attended the event. To our team, he admitted, “I just came home a week ago from the FCAE – ICAEW event and presented a paper, but my paper is still being given a lot of suggestions, and one of the judges who is an alumni of UNAIR as the Head of ICAEW Indonesia – Mr. Deny is enthusiastic that my idea will be very good to be fixed and completed, he is sure that my paper will be able to publish”.

He continued, “And, as soon as I found out that there was an ANCA event that had the opportunity to publish, I don't think it was wrong for me to try. I changed the whole content of my paper, completely from scratch, I answer staying up late so I can finish submitting, uh didn't expect it, passed!”

“I just do what I can do, I do my best to the best of my ability. My version must be perfect, at least. Heheh” he added again, reassuring that he was actually trying his best.

Our team saw the enthusiasm of this 5th semester student, that not trying is something that makes you blind to your potential and abilities! So, just do it, and don't forget to learn something to keep improving and being worthy.
