Master of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) and Transparency International Indonesia (TII) held a Compliance and Integrity Leadership Program (CLEAR). The training program, which was held on May 3, 2017 at the Borobudur Room, Garden Palace Hotel, Surabaya City, emphasized the importance of the private sector in efforts to eradicate corruption.

In his remarks, Dadang Trisasongko, as Secretary General of Transparency International Indonesia (TII) emphasized the importance of preventing corruption in the private sector. The role of the private sector in eradicating corruption is important so that the dose of corruption does not increase. If this dose is maintained, the phenomenon of state capture will occur, where the corrupt private sector dominates state policies.

In his remarks, Wisnu Wibowo, as Head of the Master of Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Airlangga emphasized the importance of anti-corruption to increase competitiveness and encourage quality economic growth, especially in the city of Surabaya. "Application of Business Without Corruption promises efficient business prospects that support the quality and sustainable economic growth of Surabaya City"

"Companies that are run on anti-corruption principles are proven to survive in the global market." said Wahyudi M Tohar, Program Manager of the Department of Economic Governance, Transparency International Indonesia. 

A total of 22 participants attended this activity. Participants come from private employees, BUMN/BUMD/BUM Desa, the academic community (lecturers, academic staff, and students), or employees of central/regional government agencies who have an interest in anti-corruption compliance issues. 

The participants explore the efforts that can be made by the participating institutions to design anti-corruption programs and realize a corruption-free business through increasing and increasing the effectiveness of Public Information Openness efforts; Grievance Handling Mechanism; Whistle Blowing System; Gratification Management; n Wealth Report of National Organizers; and Joint Action Against Corruption.
