Learning to be a Wise Leader

"Learn from the experts" is an important phrase for a learner. This is also a lesson from Sr An Nahl: 43. This includes learning about management science.
Around 100 MM FEB UNAIR students, on Thursday, January 18 2018, also received valuable lessons from the President of PT Humpuss Intermoda Transport, Mr. Theo Lekatompessy. Together with his board of directors, the alumni of FE Unair batch 80, conveyed lessons from the case of the growth and development of PT Humpuss. From a condition of minus profit and a lot of debt, to a prime condition. Even happened without doing layoffs.
He made the company as a big family, in carrying out the leadership. And teaches that leaders will get the loyalty and support of their followers if they can be trusted. This makes the personal and institutional good name so important, as a determinant of followers' trust.
Ki Hajar Dewantara's wisdom was also conveyed which teaches leadership that is able to see the situational, able to lead in the future; accompany the company when difficulties; even encourage when there is low motivation from followers.
Not only that, business management philosophy also requires mental accounting. And almost part of the discussion on how the restructuring process of PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportation is based on business accounting philosophy, accompanied by an understanding of business law.
Exciting discussions went on with many critical questions from students, until 2 hours went by without realizing it.
