ABSTRACT

Indonesian National Competency Standards (SKKNI) applies nationally and becomes the reference in administering professional training and education, competence test, and professional certification. Indonesian National Competency Standards of Marketing Personnel is arranged for the purpose of becoming the reference for competence(s) that must be possessed by every marketing personnel in Indonesia. The SKKNI aims to standardize the competence of marketing personnel whose duties and functions are restricted only in doing sales, and service and brand management activities without the exception of Bank Mandiri Micro Credit Sales which also has sales skills standard directly from Bank Mandiri
This research uses qualitative technique with descriptive design by doing Competence Evaluation based on Indonesian National Competency Standards (SKKNI) for Marketing Field of Bank Mandiri KCP Surabaya Menanggal Micro Credit Sales. Data for the research is collected through interview by using two key informants and one confirmatory informant. This activity is beneficial in terms of obtaining the initial idea systematically. The Idea concerns the fact(s) of objects of corresponding researched problems which eventually will be used in discovering competences required by Bank Mandiri Micro Credit Sales.
The research showed that the Sales Skills Standards owned by Bank Mandiri, especially Micro Credit Sales, are almost entirely fitted to Indonesian National Competency Standards (SKKNI) of Marketing Personnel in accordance to the decree issued by the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration of Indonesia Number 389 Year 2013. Related to the issue above, the Micro Credit Sales of Bank Mandiri is still conducting some unnecessary activities related to the suitability of activities in Micro Credit Market Segment. There are several competencies needed by the Micro Credit Sales related to individual competence, office competence according to Spencer, and dimensions of competence according to SKKNI.
