ABSTRACT

Indonesia Port Corporation III Branch Gresik is a port that has a very vital location because there are several major industries around it such as Industrial Gresik Area, Maspion Industrial Area, Berkah Murni Karya Sejahtera Industrial estate and other factories. Port of Gresik has a wharf of dry bulk & log terminals and wharf of 78 to provide the loading and unloading activities of coal, logs, bag cargo and general cargo. In the service of loading and unloading activities, the productivity of loading and unloading becomes the goals of service level guarantee given to the customers.
Method used in this study is descriptive analysis of existing conditions with Regulations standards port operational performance from General and Sea Ministry of Transportation to know the existing performance compared with the predefined Performance Standards. It used method of Important Performance Analysis to know factors affecting the loading and unloading activities, while descriptive analysis used to know the business improvement strategy that should be done to improve the productivity of loading and unloading.
The Value of operational performance for productivity of loading and unloading is very cargo while for ET: BT and BOR still not reached. Port operational performance that has not been achieved is analyzed by IPA. The results of the analysis to show the variables that become factors affecting loading and unloading. It is then fixed to improve the quality service of loading and unloading activities that given to customers.
