GUEST LECTURE COLOCIEUM FEB UNAIR LINCOLN UNIV NZ(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, January 23, 2024 - The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) recently hosted the second installment of its Adjunct Professor Program, featuring a Guest Lecture and PhD Colloquium on January 23, 2024, held at the prestigious Tirtodiningrat Hall of FEB UNAIR.

Guest Lecture by Prof. Christopher Gan: Nurturing Research Excellence

Distinguished academician Prof. Christopher Gan, Head of the Department of Financial and Business System at Lincoln University NZ, as well as the Director of the Master of Business (Finance) Program, graced the event with an enlightening Guest Lecture. The focus of his discourse revolved around the essential steps to craft a high-quality thesis or dissertation.

Prof. Gan emphasized the importance of clear indicators in quantitative research, likening methodology to a guiding map that directs researchers on the path to successful research outcomes. This insightful lecture not only provided valuable knowledge but also showcased FEB UNAIR's commitment to academic excellence and research innovation.

PhD Colloquium: Shaping the Future of Islamic Economics Research

Following the Guest Lecture and a brief intermission, the session seamlessly transitioned into a PhD Colloquium. Six promising PhD candidates from the Islamic Economics Department of FEB UNAIR presented their dissertation progress to the audience.

 

Prof. Gan, along with Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, engaged in providing constructive feedback and guidance to the candidates, aiming to elevate the quality of their dissertations. This collaborative effort reflects FEB UNAIR's dedication to nurturing the next generation of scholars and researchers.
