Suaramuslim.net – The news and information currently circulating in electronic media, print media, and online media often bring things that warm the heart. Not only warms the heart, but also creates hostility and division. Apparently we still need to learn from the ants who made King and Prophet Solomon 'Peace be upon him smile. Let's look at the short story from QS An-Naml: 17-19 below:

"And gathered for Solomon his army of jinn, humans and birds and then they were arranged in an orderly (in rows). Until when they reached the valley of the ants an ant said: O ants, enter into your nests, so that Solomon and his soldiers do not step on you, while they do not realize" then he smiled with laughter because (heard) the words of the ant. And he prayed: "O my Lord, give me inspiration to continue to be grateful for Your favors which You have bestowed on me and on my two parents and to do good deeds that You are pleased with; and enter me by Your mercy into the ranks of Your pious servants."  (Qs. An Naml: 17–19).

(Leader) of the ant in the story, heard by Prophet Solomon 'Peace be upon him giving commands and soothing information, that when an ant is stepped on it wasn't something intentional so there was no need for revenge. From this story, the lessons learned are:

  1. The existence of the belief of the leader of the ant against the leadership of Prophet Sulaiman as., that he as. is an unjust king,
  2. If there is a nation of ants who are oppressed (trampled on) it must be due to an accident by the troops of Prophet Sulaiman as, so the ants must be able to forgive the accidental activity.
  3. There is no need for angry and revenge activities against the elephant army, although the ant army may be able to do it as in the fable of the ant and the elephant. Ants are able to make a proud elephant lose and to its knees, by biting the inside of the elephant's ear.

The activity carried out by the ant is a form of the concept tranquilizing people, namely people who are calm and able to calm their followers. This makes Prophet Sulaiman as. smile and be grateful for the knowledge that he got as. (Surat an-Naml: 19). Can we?
