2021 Alumni Meet Up

In 2021, HIMA Management from the Public Relations department will hold an event for students of Airlangga University Management Study Program which is usually called "Meet Up Alumni". This event will invite alumni who have a lot of experience and want to share their successful experiences with students who are currently studying. his studies at Airlangga University. This event will take place on Friday, June 1 18 at 2021 by inviting 14.00 alumni from the Management study program, Universitas Airlangga. This event will be held virtually via zoom meetings.

The speakers at the 2021 Alumni Meet Up were Ayu Kartika Dewi and Vania Santoso. Ayu Kartika Dewi currently serves as Special Staff to the President of Indonesia and Managing Director at the Indika Foundation. Previously, Ayu had worked as Special Staff for the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Associate Director at the Presidential Work Unit during President SBY and Consumer Insight Manager at P&G. Ayu spent one year teaching elementary school in North Maluku. Ayu has founded several social movements: AjakGerak.id, SabangMerauke, Islamic Millennials, Failed Women, and Toleransi.id. Ayu once represented Indonesia at the Future Leaders Connect 2017 event in the UK and was selected by the Australia Awards Indonesia to participate in the Women Leadership Program in Melbourne. Currently, Ayu is writing two books: about mindfulness and about her experiences abroad.

Vania Santoso had the opportunity to learn more about global entrepreneurship from the United States Department of State at Stanford University through her short-term scholarship program. Vania Santoso turned her undergraduate thesis into a social enterprise, heySTARTIC that promotes sustainable lifestyles through recycled-based fashion products. Vania's demonstrated commitment to tackling the climate crisis and advancing solutions has been recognized as one of the 100 'Green Ticket' winners (from a group of over 7.000 applicants) from the United Nations Foundation. This led him to participate in the UN Youth Climate Summit at UN Headquarters in New York, including presenting heySTARTIC at the SDGs Media Center and attending the exclusive annual UN Private Sector Forum. Vania was also recently included in the Forbes 30 under 30.
