The idea of a Sharia Cooperative Application to facilitate MSME financing after Covid-19. Unair Islamic Economics student won 1st place in the 2021 ECCO Competition

The ECCO Contest is an Essay competition organized by Hima Management of the PGRI Dewantara Jombang School of Economics. This competition is a regional level competition so that participants who register are only from East Java. Info on this competition they (Hafid and Arin) get through Instagram.

They raised the theme "Digital Sharia Cooperatives (D'KOS): Applications for Developing Sharia Cooperatives in Empowering MSMEs Post-Covid-19". They chose this topic because they think the public's enthusiasm for sharia cooperatives is quite high, so they think of creating an application for Sharia cooperatives. "We are thinking of creating a Sharia Cooperative application that can make it easier for the community to carry out their activities, especially helping MSME financing, especially after Covid-19," said Hafid.

During the essay writing process they admitted that there were no significant obstacles, but there were obstacles when making video presentations. They explained that the announcement of the top 10 was not on schedule where the announcement came out on the same day. On the same day, they had to make a video presentation even though they had class schedules and quizzes. "At that time, Arin and I had two classes, there was also a quiz, so it was quite complicated, we finally took a class, quizzed while making videos until 11 pm," said Hafid. They stated that the video submission deadline was 11.30pm. They just finished editing the video at 11.00 and the save or rendering process takes a long time too. They finally tried to ask for a little time to send the video. "Finally, because we spammed them, Alhamdulillah, our videos are still accepted but we get a reduction in marks." Hafid said. They just surrender and pray that the future will be better.

The next day was the most hectic day in their opinion because there were two concurrent schedules. Namely the schedule of questions and answers for the ECCO Competition and the schedule for the Competency Test.

"And the next day it was Saturday where we clashed with the first competency test, we were emotional at 8 o'clock at that time and the question and answer started at 8 o'clock, and that's where the most complicated point in my opinion is because we both fix not focus because we have to share our concentration. we go to quizzes and also ask questions"

"Alhamdulillah, we got a fairly late turn, which was around 11 a.m. and that too, if I'm not mistaken, the akmenbis quiz, but still, while waiting, we still thought about it, so there was a feeling of uneasiness"

When it was their turn to ask questions, they said they could Alhamdulillah answer the questions smoothly. But there was one thing that surprised them.

"Finally, when it was time for us to ask and answer questions from the jury, we were able to answer smoothly, even what surprised me was that our idea was said to be brought or implemented directly in one of the Islamic boarding schools in Malang owned by one of the judges. very grateful” said Hafid

After finishing the question and answer, they just waited for the announcement. Alhamdulillah, they won 1st place in the 2021 ECCO Contest.
