Sriwijaya Accounting Competition 2020

SRIWIJAYA ACCOUNTING COMPETITION ACTIVITY NARRATIVE 

The Sriwijaya Accounting Olympiad 2020 activity was organized by the Association of  

Sriwijaya University Accounting Student (IMA Unsri). Previously, a preliminary round was held on October 3, 2020. Universitas Airlangga passed four teams, namely, the Vicidi Team, the BUL Team, the Accountants Team, and the Asset Team. These four teams are entitled to advance to the main round. On October 25, 2020, a technical meeting was held online, all teams listened carefully to the committee's rules and asked questions that were not clear. Then, on October 26, 2020, an elimination round was held which consisted of a kahoot round where participants worked individually at 09.00 – 09.45 WIB. Then proceed with the round of crossword puzzles that are done as a team. At 11.00 WIB, the announcement was spread through the Instagram account of IMA Unsri and Universitas Airlangga allowing two teams to be passed. The next day continued with the semifinal round which began with an essay round at 11.15 – 12.20 WIB, the work was carried out in teams and each team worked on essay questions. Then participants are invited to take a break and at 13.00 – 14.00 WIB, the Avatar round is continued where participants have the right to choose a card that contains avatar elements, each element gets the same points. After completing the avatar round, participants are allowed to take a break and at 14.30 – 15.30, the find the joker round is continued, which is similar in concept to the avatar round, but in this round each team has to risk their points every time they answer the chosen question. The announcement in the semifinal round was made at 19.00 WIB through the IMA Unsri social media account. Six teams were chosen to compete in the final round, Universitas Airlangga passed one team in the final round. The final round will be held on October 27, 2020, starting with a presentation from each team and then a question and answer session. Closing is done on the same day at 17.00-17.30 WIB.
