Surabaya- Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Soepoyo Hall, a work program entitled "Strategic Sponsorship" (SS) was held by the Department of External Relations, Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). The Strategic Sponsorship event took place in the Soepoyo Hall FEB UNAIR.

This year's Strategic Sponsorship is the third strategic sponsorship that has been implemented by the FEB Student Executive Board to continue and develop the program from the previous BEM FEB period. Emphasizing on public speaking training and sponsorship submissions, this event prioritizes Student Organizations (ORMAWA) as participants, especially the Public Relations Division (HUMAS) of Student Organizations at FEB UNAIR. Although limited in terms of participants - not open to the public, SS presented professional speakers who are experienced in their fields, namely, Adinda Putri (News Presenter and member of the Airlangga University Ambassador Association), Rizky Supriyadi, SE, Ak., MBA (Director of PT. Graha Mukti Indah Group), Umi Rodiyah (Head of Institutional and Business Relations Division of Bank JATIM), and Suranto ST (Head of Marketing Division of PT. SIER). Through the SS event, participants are expected to get an idea of a good sponsorship flow and tips to get sponsorship by designing a mature strategy, and participants are expected to be able to implement the knowledge gained both during their respective work programs and in daily life.

By taking the concept of talk show and rally game, SS started the event by presenting interactive material by Adinda Putri, News Presenter and members of the UNAIR Duta Paguyuban, regarding the importance of public speaking techniques in communicating both on campus and in everyday life. Not infrequently, participants are invited to practice public speaking skills by simulating being a news presenter. The event then continued with a talk show, moderated by Christian Arie Rotty and by the speaker, Rizky Supriyadi as Director of PT. Graha Mukti Indah Group, Umi Rodiyah as Head of Institutional Relations Division of Bank JATIM, and Suranto as Head of Marketing Division of PT. SIER. As the talk show progresses, participants can take notes on things that need to be considered in submitting sponsorships, tips and tricks in attracting companies to provide sponsorships, as well as the company's point of view as recipients of sponsorship applications.

After the talk show, the event continued with rally games. Where, participants from all ORMAWA formed a number of groups and worked together to create a Work Program (Proker). Quite different from the previous year, each group has an indicator of success, namely a nominal amount of money that has been targeted by the SS event organizing committee. In turn, the groups have to visit 4 different company posts and try to convince the company posts to provide sponsorship in the form of nominal money or goods. Interestingly, each post is held by a talk show speaker, so that participants can directly understand the sponsorship flow with this sponsorship submission simulation. At the end of the sponsorship submission session, the speakers will evaluate the mistakes made by the sponsorship participants.

Regarding what is expected after the Strategic Sponsorship is implemented, Andrew Alvaro Harun - the person in charge of the Strategic Sponsorship event, explained "All members of the Student Organization Public Relations Division in FEB are members of an External Association of FEB ORMAWA. Therefore, with the Strategic Sponsorship, it is hoped that SS will not only become a forum for all members of the ORMAWA FEB PR Division to improve their public speaking skills and propose sponsorships, but also to get to know one another, cooperate, and be in harmony in building the image of our proud faculty. namely the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga” - considering that the Public Relations Division (HUMAS) is the front line to bring the name of the faculty to external parties.
