(FEB NEWS) The SDGs Airlangga Interdisciplinary Learning (SAIL) 2024 program, organized by the Undergraduate Program of Islamic Economics, Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, in collaboration with Universiti Utara Malaysia, was officially inaugurated on May 21, 2024. The ceremony took place at Aula Soepoyo, FEB UNAIR, where the esteemed individuals who extended the welcome remarks were Noven Suprayogi, SE., M.Si., Ak, the Chairperson, along with Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE., M.Si., Head of the Department of Sharia Economics, and Dr. Muhamad Fikri Aziz from the Faculty of Islamic Business School, Universiti Utara Malaysia.
The SAIL 2024 program is scheduled to run from May 20 to May 27, 2024, featuring a variety of offline activities and discussions, some of which will be conducted via Zoom in other days. The program aims to enhance student mobility and foster interdisciplinary learning. It is attended by 32 students from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
Our main agenda includes:
1. SDGs Panel Discussion: Engaging talks and discussions centered on the Sustainable Development Goals.
2. International Community Service Project: A collaborative service project in Kwanyar Barat, Bangkalan, Madura, focusing on local community development.
3. Cultural Exchange: Activities designed to promote cultural understanding and exchange between participants.
4. Exploring Surabaya Heritage and Business: Visits and explorations of Surabaya’s historical sites and business centers.
This initiative also aligns with and supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 1: No Poverty, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 14: Life Below Water. The program aims to contribute to these global objectives through its educational and collaborative efforts.
