MOSIUR 2021 Determines UNAIR's Fourth Best Campus in Indonesia

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) keeps making achievements. This time, the rating agency Moscow International University Ranking “The Three University Missions” (MOSIUR) 2021 released information that UNAIR managed to occupy the 1301-1400 position as the world's best campus or the fourth best ranking in Indonesia.

According to the narrative of Dian Ekowati, Ph.D., as the head of the Planning and Development Agency (BPP) UNAIR, MOSIUR itself is a ranking agency that independently filters and qualifies all universities in the world. The filtration is carried out objectively based on the university's achievements in IREG Inventory of National Rankings, publications, and several criteria related to other educational programs.

“This is the second time for UNAIR to be listed on the radar of the MOSIUR rating agency. Previously, in 2020, UNAIR was in the fifth best position in Indonesia," he said UNAIR NEWS (11 / 9).

3 Assessment Criteria

In conducting the ranking, MOSIUR assesses the quality of universities based on the three traditional missions of the university, namely education, research, and community service. Regarding these three aspects, Dian – as he is called – said that UNAIR is quite comprehensive in the field of education. The reason is, UNAIR has various fields of knowledge to improve the quality of education, which amounts to no less than 174 study programs. Most of the study programs offered, continued Dian, have been accredited with an A grade.

In addition, Dian also explained that from other ranking data, such as QS WUR, the ratio of the number of lecturers to the number of UNAIR students is in a good index, which is 8,96. This shows that one lecturer is responsible for the education and teaching of 9 students, so that the quality of knowledge conveyed to students is quite good.

"Furthermore, excellence in the education aspect also supports UNAIR in the quality of two other aspects, namely research and community service," he added.

In the future, Dian said that efforts to improve the performance of the University will always be carried out relentlessly in various aspects and ensure that as an educational institution, UNAIR can have an impact both locally, nationally and globally.
