MACC (MAksi Accounting Competition), which is an accounting competition at the undergraduate level
and equivalent in Indonesia with the theme Challenge Your Accounting Skill to be Smart Generation
held by HIMMA (Master of Accounting Student Association) FEB UGM in
2018 National scale, registration is open on September 1-15 2018. Subjects
The contestants are: Introductory Accounting 1, Introductory Accounting 2, Financial Accounting
Advanced, Taxation, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting,
Auditing, Public Sector Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems. Our team consists of 3 people
consisting of Rheta Septian, Indri Sesariani, and Febrica Lukita (ACTION 2015).

The competition stage consists of 3 events, namely the preliminary round, the final round, and
the grand finale. In the preliminary round, each team that registers will
take part in the preliminary round which requires participants to take a preliminary test
online at a time determined by the committee. And the 10 participants with the best scores will be
advance to the next stage, namely the final round.
On September 21, the preliminary test results were announced and our team qualified for the
the final round which was held on 28 September 2018 which took place at the Magister
Accounting FEB UGM Jalan Sosio Humanities No. 1, Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta. Before
following the final round, we first took part in the Technical Meeting which
aims for the technical discussion of the competition on September 27, 2018.
In the final round, each team will go through various series of competitions
Later the scores from each competition will be accumulated to determine 4 teams with a value of
highest, which will later advance to the grand final round. The types of competition itself
are as follows:
1. Manufacturing Company Accounting Cycle
Each team is required to compile the manufacturing company's accounting cycle, according to
with questions that have been provided by the committee.
2. True False
Each team must answer a short description question with a true or false answer.
3. Accounting puzzles
Each team must answer short questions, related to accounting terms
according to the prescribed courses. The questions consist of 30 horizontal questions and
decrease. The correct answer will get a score of 5, the wrong answer -2, and no
answer value 0.
In the grand final round, 4 selected teams will take part in a debate competition consisting of rounds of
semi-finals and finals, and the winner will be determined by the jury. In this round,
Each team will be drawn by lot to determine their opponent. And 3 teams will be taken
the highest score obtained from the accumulated results of the jury.
