The capital market plays a crucial role in supporting economic growth, both as a means of funding for companies and as an investment platform for the public. However, to make wise and targeted investment decisions, a thorough understanding of stock analysis and equity research is essential. This skill not only improves decision-making quality but also protects investors from high-risk speculative decisions.
As a division committed to developing capital market literacy, the Research Division of KSPM FEB UNAIR recognizes the importance of mastering stock analysis skills among its members. Therefore, this internal program, which involves hands-on practice in preparing equity research, is designed as an applied learning tool, allowing each member to gain real-world experience analyzing stocks from various perspectives, including fundamental, technical, and market sentiment.
This activity will be conducted in groups of two people and will run from June 1 to October 31, 2026, with a target of publishing two stock analyses every two weeks through the official KSPM FEB UNAIR social media platforms. Furthermore, participants are encouraged to actively participate in Equity Research competitions to hone their skills in a more competitive context. As a form of monitoring and evaluation, inactive members will be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of SP 1.
With a target of 100% member involvement in research and the publication of more than 10 equity research projects, this activity not only aims to improve members' skills in professional stock analysis but also contributes to public education efforts regarding intelligent and responsible investment in the capital market. The activity began with an opening session featuring welcome remarks and an introduction to the importance of fundamental analysis in investing.
Next, the facilitator will explain the material systematically, starting with a macro analysis that discusses global economic conditions, then moving on to industry analysis to understand the growth of specific sectors, and finally, company-specific analysis that highlights financial statements and key financial indicators. Following the presentation, participants will participate in a practical session by conducting a real-life case study to apply the concepts learned. The results of this analysis will then be discussed in a feedback session, where participants can share any challenges they face and receive input from the facilitator. The activity concludes with a closing session containing conclusions, recommendations for further study, and a final question and answer session to strengthen participants' understanding.
