
“Building a Fair and Sustainable Global Economy through Green Development and Islamic Philanthropy”
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the PILAR 2026 (AcSESOR Scientific Week) activity was held at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Campus B. This activity was carried out in accordance with a series of predetermined agendas, starting from the registration stage on April 27–May 31, 2026, the preliminary round of the Olympics on June 6, 2026, the announcement of the finalists on June 8, 2026, the technical meeting on June 17, 2026, until the peak of the event in the form of the final round on June 20, 2026. This activity was attended by all members of the UKMF Association of Sharia Economics Studies (AcSES) or AcSESOR, with the provision that each team consists of three people from each division.
PILAR 2026 carries the theme "Building a Fair and Sustainable Global Economy through Green Development and Islamic Philanthropy" and presents three main competition branches, namely Olympiad, Essay, and Business Plan. The entire series of activities are held free of charge with an online registration mechanism and provides facilities in the form of guidance, certificates, and awards for the winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each competition branch. This activity was led by the Chief Executive Irru Lailatus Saffa and Ilham Muhammad Naufal along with the entire committee, and went smoothly and with enthusiasm.
This activity aims to encourage the spirit of achievement and strengthen the academic culture of students, while equipping participants with critical, innovative, and solution-oriented thinking skills in responding to the challenges of a just and sustainable global economy. The theme raised is also in line with several points of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely SDG 4 (Quality Education) through improving the quality of learning and student competencies, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit and economic innovation, and SDG 13 (Climate Action) through a green development approach that encourages concern for the environment. Furthermore, the concept of Islamic philanthropy is also linked to SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) in efforts to reduce social disparities and improve community welfare in an inclusive manner.
Therefore, PILAR 2026 is not only a scientific competition but also a platform for fostering and developing competitive and collaborative self-potential. Through this activity, it is hoped that a superior, innovative young generation will emerge, capable of contributing to equitable and sustainable global economic development.
