M-GRADUATION 2025: Vol. 1

(HIMA S1 Management News) M-Graduation is a farewell event held by Universitas Airlangga as a form of appreciation and recognition for the graduates of the Undergraduate Management Study Program. This event is not only a farewell moment, but also a form of recognition for the struggles and academic achievements that have been achieved by the graduates. M-Graduation, or often called M-Grad , is held periodically in several volumes, adjusting to the university's graduation period.

M-Graduation Volume 1 was held on April 26, 2025, shortly after the main graduation ceremony at the Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Building, Campus C, Universitas Airlangga. Following the ceremony, the graduates were directed to the courtyard around the campus to participate in a series of farewell events. They were warmly welcomed with lively percussion music, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.

The official ceremony began with remarks from the M-Grad director, the Head of the Undergraduate Management Student Association (HIMA), representatives from the 2023 Komting class, and representatives from the 2024 class. The excitement continued with cheers and chants from the percussion team, enlivening the atmosphere of togetherness. The event then concluded with a group prayer and a photo session as a memento for the graduates.

Despite the simplicity of M-Graduation Vol. 1, the event created a warm and memorable experience for the participants. The evaluation of the event also provided important notes for improvement in the next edition, including punctuality, number of participants, and the development of a more creative and inclusive concept. Overall, the event ran smoothly and according to plan.

Beyond serving as a farewell event, M-Graduation also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals . This activity strengthens a sense of togetherness, community spirit, and appreciation for individual achievement, all of which foster an inclusive, supportive, and character-building educational environment. In the long run, such activities shape graduates who not only excel academically but are also prepared to become agents of change in society.
