The 2019 International Summer Business Program is a summer school held by Daffodil International University in Bangladesh. Soraya Kamila Humaira, a 2016 undergraduate student in Management Universitas Airlangga, participated in the program. The program offers a class titled Social Business for Sustainable Development, which will introduce and provide a deeper understanding of Social Business. The program will teach how to identify social problems and create solutions while fostering an entrepreneurial spirit. Accredited academics and directors from social business companies will lead the class, allowing participants to learn directly from their lived experiences. This is an opportunity to network with renowned companies and activists in the social business field.
Daffodil International University itself is one of the first universities to engage in social business from the beginning. The Yunus Social Business Center at Daffodil International University has created many resources on social business that can be developed by students and will have a positive impact on society. The 2019 International Summer Business Program itself will last for 10 days. Starting from July 12, 2019 to July 22, 2019. It is hoped that by participating in this activity, the relevant delegates will be able to create their own social businesses by gathering support from shareholders and realizing these business ideas, as well as increasing leadership skills to solve social problems through a social entrepreneurship perspective.
