EDITING CLASS 2025

The Editing Class 2025 work program is an annual event organized by the Multimedia & Marketing Department of the Undergraduate Management Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR). The theme of this event is "Craft Your Story: Mastering Video Editing with DaVinci Resolve," emphasizing the importance of mastering digital skills in the modern era, particularly in the field of video editing.

Through this activity, students are encouraged to understand that editing is not just about enhancing visual appearance, but also an art form in conveying messages and building meaningful stories.

In today's rapidly digital world, editing has become a highly sought-after skill for the younger generation. Almost everyone now engages in editing, whether creating social media content, adjusting photo colors, or arranging video sequences to enhance visual appeal. Through Editing Class 2025, participants will learn firsthand the fundamentals and practical techniques of video editing using DaVinci Resolve, a professional editing software widely used in the international creative industry.

This activity presents experienced speakers in the multimedia field, so that students can gain insight and real practice regarding effective, creative, and professional editing processes.

This activity was carried out online via a video conference platform, with a series of events consisting of an opening, presentation of material by a resource person, a live editing practice session, an interactive discussion, and a game session designed to create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere.

This activity will be held on November 15, 2025 , and is part of the ongoing efforts of HIMA S1 Management in supporting the development of student capabilities in the digital field.

Besides being a learning platform, Editing Class 2025 also closely aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) launched by the United Nations. Through this activity, the Undergraduate Management Student Association (HIMA S1 Management) contributes to supporting SDG 4: Quality Education by providing inclusive and high-quality learning opportunities in the field of creative technology.

This program also plays a role in realizing SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, as the editing skills mastered by participants can be crucial capital for entering the ever-evolving creative workforce. Furthermore, by introducing students to the use of professional technologies like DaVinci Resolve, this activity aligns with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, which emphasizes the importance of innovation and technological mastery in supporting the growth of the digital industry.

Not only that, the collaboration between the committee, speakers, and participants also reflects the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, where cooperation is the main key in achieving sustainable development goals.

Thus, Editing Class 2025 is not only a technical learning activity, but also a means of self-development that contributes to global development goals.

Through this activity, students are expected to find an editing style that reflects their personal character, hone their creative thinking skills, and become part of a young generation that is innovative, adaptive, and competitive amidst the advancement of the digital creative industry.
