Upgrading is a training activity to improve the quality, knowledge, and organizational skills for its participants, in this case the new management of the Development Economics Student Association Universitas Airlangga for the 2018 period. This activity is useful for upgrading its participants so that they can be aware of their respective functions in the new management of HIMA EP.

This year's upgrading event was held at Villa Mawar Pondok Claket Indah, Trawas, Mojokerto. The event took place from February 23-25, 2018. The event began with the gathering of the HIMA EP administrators at the Faculty of Economics and Business and their departure to the venue. Upon arrival, the committee had already prepared everything necessary for the opening ceremony.

The second day's activities began with morning exercise, followed by games focused on cooperation and teamwork. In the evening, a sharing session was held with seniors from the 2013-2015 classes. This was followed by a cheerleading competition between predetermined groups.

After that, on the third day, the event was closed with a group photo with seniors and a photo of all the HIMA EP Universitas Airlanggaadministrators.
