Cross-Brotherhood Student Association (LPH) is a series of activities organized by the Economics Student Association (Hima Ilmu Ekonomi) to introduce new students of Economics Universitas Airlangga to the lecture environment with the aim of preparing new students to face various challenges in the world of lectures. This activity also serves as a means to build new students' awareness of sustainable development issues, in line with the commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The theme "lantera" serves as a medium for introduction and self-development for new students so they can adapt to the environment of Economics Universitas Airlangga through activities that foster creativity to foster understanding of the department. With the spirit of "lantera", new students are encouraged to cultivate an open and critical attitude in seeing the role of economics in addressing global challenges such as poverty (SDG 1), inequality (SDG 10), and inclusive economic growth (SDG 8).
Through a series of Cross-Brotherhood Student Association (LPH) activities, new students are provided with non-formal educational provisions that include the values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the value of Solid IE. This is expected to encourage them to contribute to sustainable community service, supporting the achievement of the SDGs, particularly in the areas of quality education (SDG 4) and inclusive community development. These activities not only develop their understanding of academic and ethical values but also allow them to hone their soft and hard skills. Thus, new students are prepared to become a generation of young people who are not only academically competent but also concerned with sustainability and equitable development for all.
