The Hima Brotherhood (LPH) is a series of activities organized by Hima Economics to introduce new students of Economics, Universitas Airlangga in the lecture environment with the aim of preparing new students to face various challenges in the world of lectures. This activity is also a means of building the concern of new students towards sustainable development issues, in line with a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The theme "Lentera" is a medium of self -introduction and development for new students to be able to adapt to the environment of Economics, Universitas Airlangga through activities that foster creativity to foster understanding of the department. With this "Lentera" spirit, new students are invited to foster an open and critical attitude in seeing the role of economics in overcoming global challenges such as poverty (SDG 1), inequality (SDG 10), and inclusive economic growth (SDG 8).
Through a series of Hima Brotherhood Cross-Brotherhood (LPH) activities, new students are given non-formal education provisions that include the values of Tri Dharma Higher Education and IE Solid values. This is expected to encourage them to contribute to community service, supporting the achievement of SDGs, especially in the field of quality education (SDG 4) and inclusive community development. This activity not only develops their understanding of academic and ethical values, but also allows training their soft skills and hard skills. Thus, new students are prepared to become a young generation who are not only academically competent, but also care for the sustainability and development that is just for all.
