Indonesia Economics Events (ECCENTS) 2025 is a work program of the Student Association of Economics that focuses on scientific paper competitions (LKTI) and holding public seminars discussing the economic situation and policies that apply in Indonesia. This event will be held in Surabaya City and participants in this activity are students from all over Indonesia. This work program has been implemented consistently for 17 years.
ECCENTS 2025, hereinafter referred to as the 18th ECCENTS, has a different competition concept from previous years. In previous years, this event made abstract submission as the initial selection to proceed to the next round. This year, the 18th ECCENTS no longer makes abstract submission as the initial selection. The initial selection at the 18th ECCENTS is the submission of Pitch Your Idea (PYI). This is because PYI explains the concept of the written work better than the abstract. With a collaborative and progressive spirit, ECCENTS is back as an annual event that not only accommodates competition and discussion, but also becomes a space to build intellectual connections between students and produce constructive thoughts and policy recommendations for the advancement of the national economy. The consistent implementation of ECCENTS is a real reflection of HIMA IE UNAIR's commitment to supporting the development of students' intellectual capacity and strengthening economic literacy among the younger generation in Indonesia, especially Economics and Development Studies students.
The 18th ECCENTS work program by the Economics Student Association Universitas Airlangga 2025 focuses on the implementation of the SDGs goals. The SDGs goals related to this event are SDGs number 1 (no poverty), number 4 (quality education), number 8 (decent work and economic growth), and number 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
The targets of this activity are all students from universities in Indonesia (for the Scientific Writing Competition), students and the public (for the national seminar). 18th Eccents consists of several activities, namely:

3. Eccents: Case & Discuss: August 2, 2025
4. City Tour: Friday, September 19, 2025
5. Meet The Judicator: Saturday, September 20, 2025
6. Eccents National Seminar: Saturday, September 20, 2025
7. Awarding Night: Saturday, September 20, 2025
Indicators of the success of the 18th Eccents event:
● Obtaining 40 LKTI abstract submitters.
● National seminar participants reached 115 participants.
● 85% of participants rated it good in the survey for the national seminar.
● 85% of participants rated it good in the survey of the entire Eccents activity series.
