The Green EP program is part of the work program and agenda of the Department of Social, Community, and Environmental Affairs (SOSMAL). The first event, Simpletalk, was held in October 2020, attended by Development Economics students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , and the general public. This event aimed to commemorate Mental Health Awareness Day and to recognize the importance of mental health.

Green EP also has another agenda, namely the Economic Environment Talk (Ecotalk), which was held in November 2020. The aim is to encourage Development Economics students and the wider community to care about and protect the environment from waste, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
