Economics Creative Lab

Economics Creative Lab (ECL) is an annual program of the Department of Student Welfare, the Student Association of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This program is designed as a forum to develop student competencies in dealing with the dynamics of the academic and work world. The main focus of ECL is to improve student technical and analytical skills, especially in the field of data processing and analysis, as well as strengthening the critical mindset needed in the digital era and knowledge -based economy.
More than just additional learning activities, ECL is carried out as a form of active student contribution in supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs). This program directly contributes to the three main pillars of SDGs, namely: SDG 4 (quality education) by providing skills -based training access that is relevant to needs; SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) by equipping students to be ready to compete in the world of work and help encourage national economic growth; and SDG 9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure) by fostering innovative thinking skills through the use of technology and data.
ECL 5th consists of two main series of activities, namely Webinar and Masterclass, which are designed to bridge the theoretical understanding and practical application. This activity provides an applicative learning experience, where participants are not only equipped with conceptual insights, but are also directed to apply skills directly in the context of data. ECL encourages the formation of students who are not only adaptive to change, but also solutive and proactive in facing global challenges. This program is expected to give birth to a young generation who are competent, competitive, and contribute to the nation's sustainable development.
