Economics Creative Lab

Economics Creative Lab (ECL) is an annual program of the Student Welfare Department, Economics Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This program is designed as a forum to develop student competencies in facing the dynamics of the academic and work world. The main focus of ECL is on improving students' technical and analytical skills, especially in the field of data processing and analysis, as well as strengthening critical thinking patterns needed in the digital era and knowledge-based economy.
More than just an additional learning activity, ECL is implemented as a form of active student contribution in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program directly contributes to the three main pillars of the SDGs, namely: SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing access to skills-based training that is relevant to needs; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping students to be ready to compete in the world of work and contribute to national economic growth; and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by fostering innovative thinking skills through the use of technology and data.
The 5th ECL program consists of two main series of activities: webinars and masterclasses, designed to bridge theoretical understanding with practical application. These activities provide an applied learning experience, where participants are not only equipped with conceptual insights but also guided to apply skills directly in a data context. ECL encourages the development of students who are not only adaptive to change but also solution-oriented and proactive in facing global challenges. This program is expected to produce a competent, competitive young generation that contributes to the nation's sustainable development.
