COMDEV (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT) 2021 is an agenda of the Department of Social Affairs, focusing on community service through village development in the areas of environment, economy, health, and education. Wedoro Village, located in Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province, boasts distinct advantages in each hamlet. However, the village is generally renowned for its home industry. Sandal and shoe crafts are a key industrial center. Despite these advantages, the village also faces challenges in distribution and marketing, which remain a major challenge. Therefore, COMDEV chose Wedoro Village as its target village this time. 

The COMDEV Development Economics agenda Universitas Airlangga focuses on four aspects that will be upheld, namely research (search for new villages that will be carried out by departure to two new COMDEV 2021 village candidates and from the two new village candidates, one village will be selected which will later be used as the object of the COMDEV 2021 agenda), bonding (introducing villages and their advantages through videos that will later be uploaded via social media), branding (publishing business products that will later be uploaded via social media with the hope of helping the introduction of entrepreneurs' products in increasing their industrial market share), closing (providing social assistance to underprivileged communities or those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the area and distributing donations whose distribution will be focused on the education of orphans and the poor).
