MSM Dialogue Sharing 2025 Feb(MSM NEWS) MSM Dialogue & Sharing 2025: Scholarship Talk is a strategic program of the Master of Science in Management Student Association (HIMA MSM) Universitas Airlangga. This activity aims to educate, motivate, and inspire students in planning further education through scholarships.

Designed as a platform for sharing insights and real-life experiences from scholarship recipients, this event featured interactive dialogues and inspirational sharing sessions. The event was held online via the official Instagram Live account of HIMA MSM (@himamsm.unair) on April 18, 2025, from 7:00–8:00 PM WIB.

Carrying the theme "Scholarship Talk", this event not only discussed the technical aspects of the scholarship selection process, but also focused on strengthening students' enthusiasm to continue developing, dreaming bigger, and developing a mature educational plan.

The speakers present were inspirational figures who had traveled a long way to achieve scholarships, and openly shared their experiences directly with the participants.

The first resource person is St. Nurhikma Maulida, S.Psi., MA, a lecturer at the STIA LAN Makassar Polytechnic who is currently pursuing a doctoral degree as an LPDP scholarship recipient. With a relevant educational background in Psychology and a Master's degree, she has expertise in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Social Psychology. Her experience in academia and her journey to obtaining a scholarship make her a credible resource person to share strategies and motivations for pursuing further studies.

The second speaker was Lia Febria Lina, SE, M.Sc., a lecturer at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, who is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Management Science, majoring in Marketing, at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga. She is a recipient of the Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, a scholarship program specifically for lecturers.

In her presentation, Lia emphasized the importance of thorough preparation before applying for a scholarship, such as obtaining a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from her target university, taking the TOEFL test, preparing a research proposal, and writing a personal statement. She also won a SEED (Canada-ASEAN Scholarships & Educational Exchanges for Development) scholarship, which allowed her to conduct research for a semester at Dalhousie University, Canada.

Her research focuses on consumer behavior related to food waste, with the aim of supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the aspects of responsible consumption and production.

Through this activity, participants gained various significant benefits, ranging from a deeper understanding of the scholarship selection process, strategies for preparing important documents, to insights into academic life at the higher education level. Held online via Instagram Live, this program also expanded the reach of information access to a wider audience—not limited to internal participants, but also accessible to the general public, including prospective students from various backgrounds. This makes the Scholarship Talk program contribute to supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) point 4, namely Quality Education, through the dissemination of educational information and increasing scholarship literacy in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
