Charity is an annual fundraising activity organized by the Accounting Student Association Universitas Airlangga which aims to increase social awareness, educate the public about humanitarian issues, and mobilize real action through two main sub-events, namely the National Webinar and Fun Run. In 2025, Charity raised the main theme "Walking with Compassion, Speaking with Understanding: For a World Where Everyone Belongs" which aims to build awareness and collective action on disability issues. "Walking with Compassion" symbolizes real steps through the Fun Run which is not only a sporting activity, but also a symbol of solidarity and moral support for people with disabilities. Meanwhile, "Speaking with Understanding" emphasizes the importance of inclusive and empathetic communication, which is realized through a national seminar that encourages the public to not view people with disabilities as objects of pity, but as individuals who are empowered, equal, and worthy of respect. The big hope that is to be realized in Charity 2025 is the creation of a more inclusive world, where diversity is not only accepted, but celebrated, without anyone feeling left behind because of limitations.
The sub-theme of the Charity 2025 webinar is entitled "From Awareness to Action: Communicating with Purpose in Disability and Caregiving Advocacy", which aims to encourage the public to increase awareness of people with disabilities and their caregivers, and to transform awareness into action through strategic and meaningful communication. Meanwhile, the Fun Run sub-theme entitled "Every Step Counts, Every Soul Matters" invites the public to actively participate in the fun run as a form of real social contribution, where every step of the participants is meaningful in providing moral support and donations for people with disabilities. Charity 2025 activities contribute directly to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3 (Healthy and Prosperous Lives), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Inclusion), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals) by involving various parties to jointly voice the importance of inclusivity and respect for the dignity of every individual.
