Airlangga Accounting Competition is the largest work program and annual event organized by the Accounting Student Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This activity includes an accounting competition aimed at state / private tertiary institutions and high school / equivalent students on a national scale.
Airlangga Accounting Competition contributes significantly to the goals of sustainable development (Sustainable Development Goal/SDG) 4: Quality education, 8: decent work and economic growth, and 17: Partnership to achieve goals. Through this activity, participants from various universities and various high schools in Indonesia have the opportunity to improve the quality of their accounting education through training, competition, and inclusive practical learning. This competition wants to prepare high school students and students to become skilled workers in the financial and accounting sectors. In addition, this event was about to involve collaboration between tertiary institutions, government agencies, and the business world to hold national -scale events.
Environmental issues in Indonesia to the world today are the main background of the theme of this year's event. Therefore, AAC 2025 brought the theme "Countering Greenwashing: Enhancing Public Awareness of Green Accounting" as an effort to realize the importance of transparency from Sustainability Report to show the practice of green accounting and follow up on the practice of greenwashing to a company. Thus, this theme is able to create great accountants with high integrity and ready for a sustainable future.
