Airlangga Accounting Competition is the largest annual work program and event organized by the Accounting Student Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This activity includes an Accounting competition aimed at State / Private University Students and High School Students / Equivalent on a national scale.
Airlangga Accounting Competition contributes significantly to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education, 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals. Through this activity, participants from various universities and various high schools in Indonesia have the opportunity to improve the quality of their accounting education through inclusive training, competitions, and practical learning. This competition aims to prepare college and high school students to become skilled workers in the finance and accounting sector. In addition, this event will involve collaboration across universities, government institutions, and the business world to organize a national-scale event.
Environmental issues in Indonesia and the world today are the main background of the theme of this year's event. Therefore, AAC 2025 carries the theme "Countering Greenwashing: Enhancing Public Awareness of Green Accounting" as an effort to raise awareness of the importance of transparency in sustainability reports to demonstrate the existence of green accounting practices and to follow up on greenwashing practices in a company. Thus, this theme is able to create outstanding accountants with high integrity and are ready for a sustainable future.
